My husband did an amazing job with planning a surprise Nashville proposal for me. He went above and beyond anything that I expected, and completely surprised me. My birthday is on Christmas Day and every year I am unable to celebrate it. I was always a little upset by this, so Jake had the idea to celebrate my half birthday. He planned a whole trip to Nashville, Tennessee for the weekend. Once we checked into our AirBnb, we headed for a night in Downtown, Nashville. The next morning we explored the Grand Ole Opry and the mall that was right next to it. Completely exhausted with sore feet we headed back to get ready for the night. While in the car Jake told me that he wanted me to be ready a little earlier tonight so that we could go walk around Downtown, Nashville. Naturally I was late but Jake kept his cool showing no signs of distress.
The Nashville Proposal on The Pedestrian Bridge
We got dropped off at the Pedestrian Bridge in Downtown, Nashville. We started walking up the bridge as the sun was starting to set. We stopped in the middle of the bridge to take a picture. We tried taking a selfie and most likely looked like we were struggling. A guy with a camera came up to us and asked if we would like him to take our picture. He took a couple of pictures for us and then asked if he could take some with his camera. He explained that he was a photographer here taking pictures of Downtown. He could see the uncertainty in my face so he proceeded to give us his business card. He seemed like a nice guy so I agreed. He started taking pictures of us facing him and then told us to turn around and look out at the water. After a couple pictures I turned to look at Jake and noticed that he wasn’t next to me anymore. I thought he was maybe just standing behind me for the pictures so I turned around and that’s when I saw him. He was on one knee with a little black box in his hand. He opened the box and I completely blacked out.

The Perfect Surprise Nashville Engagement
I am going to be honest I don’t remember what he said until the end when he asked me to marry him. I do remember saying yes! I then realized that the guy who was taking our photos was a photographer Jake had hired to capture the whole proposal. The pictures that this guy took were amazing. He got the before, the during, and the after of the surprise Nashville Wedding Proposal. You see all the emotions in my face through his pictures. Jake slipped the ring on my finger and we continued to take a couple more pictures with the photographer. Its funny because after we were finished taking pictures the random people who were on the bridge started clapping and coming up to Jake giving him high fives. We walked back down the bridge and I called/texted everyone about what happened. We then went to dinner at a restaurant right next to The Pedestrian Bridge. After dinner we drank our way through Downtown, Nashville. Except for this time going out around the town was a little different because I was FINALLY an engaged woman to the most perfect guy out there!
